In case you're not up to speed, here are the series' we're showing this semester for our anime weeklies:

- Soul Eater
- The Daughter of Twenty Faces
- Hana Kimi
- Natsume Yuujin-chou

What are your thoughts so far? Personally I'm enjoying The Daughter of Twenty Faces the most, but I have a strong suspicion that Hana Kimi has been a bit more popular with the majority.

I also seem to be enjoying "The Daughter of Twenty Faces" the most. I also enjoy the other three animes/j-drama (although I have already seen up the the current episodes of "Soul Eater").

Necoro, that question is kind of confusing...no idea what you mean there...

Oh, well I totally LOVE Soul Eater. I found it during my visit to the Tokyo International Anime Festival. As soon as it came out, I was watching every episode. I still am. Haha. :D Also I'd like to try Hana Kimi (I haven't had the chance to watch it).

I haven't seen any of those series... So i'll probably be interested :D
Although maybe a bit of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni would be good.

I'm glad we're showing Daughter of Twenty Faces, because along with Kurenai and Kyouran Kazoku Nikki it was one of the three standout shows of the Spring 2008 season for me.

HanaKimi is fabulous, even more fabulous than Code Geass R2. Somehow, even as a relatively unbroken straight male fanboy, I'm able to enjoy it.

Soul Eater - At first I was a bit miffed that it had beaten out Macross Frontier, but the series has definitely grown on me after a few episodes.

Daughter of Twenty Faces - Eh. It's not bad, but I don't know why everyone else likes it so much! But the last episode picked up a bit. Maybe I simply can't let myself enjoy anime series unless there's SOME kind of action, even if it's just girls swinging kendo sticks around.

Is Hana Kimi the name of the live-action series we're watching? That's pretty funny, too.

And we should watch Happiness of the Katakuris, on the off chance that it hasn't been licensed ;) Probably has, but a fellow can dream.

The thing about Macross F is that it has a spectacular first and second episode - even more on the DVD/BluRay cut then the broadcast version - after which it kind of slows up until around the midpoint of the series. So while it's a decent show, it's not like all of what you're missing is as awesome as the episode we played was.

Also, I imagine Soul Eater won because a lot of people had already seen Macross F. It was one of the big two fansubbed shows of Spring 08.

For me, half the attraction of Daughter of Twenty Faces is watching an 11 to 13 (depending on the episode) year old girl deal have to use her brains and quick reflexes to get through scenarios in which she's totally outclassed by her opponents. The moment I knew I was going to like the show was when Chiko showed she knew she was being poisoned - completely obliterating her image as a brat in an instant. I will admit that that there are some slow episodes though, especially around the second quarter of the show.

glad we chose soul eater. I like it.

Can we watch a Jdrama called Garo (but It contains slight nudity that dosent really matter, and its in the horror/fantasy genre. But it is still kind of good for the club since its not that scary) next semester?.
heres the link if you are intrested

Love Soul Eater... every time I watch an episode, I find another thing to like about it, it's been a while since I found an anime that I like as much as I do it. (Last Exile, I believe, was the last one).

Daughter of 20 Faces is interesting, it's really quite unusual, and I'm not sure whether it is supposed to include supernatural stuff or not.

Hana-Kimi... I could seriously do without. The acting is pretty bad, and, although some scenes are funny, much of the comedy tries far too hard, and the drama is absolutely awful.

Thanks for listenin'

Soul Eater: I love rewatching some series from the beginning, like I did with Minami-ke from spring and Kaiji from summer. Oozes awesome upon so.

We could do Macross Frontier next semester.

Twenty Faces was interesting at first. Right now it is wandering too much, and character designations are out of focus.

Hana-Kimi is awesome, but can get dreadful due to its length. Oh, and I come to weeklies mainly for Hana-Kimi!

Now that I think about it, I think the main thing for me at weeklies is also Hana-Kimi seeing as I've already seen up to the current episodes of both Soul Eater and Daughter of Twenty Faces.

I do like rewatching Soul Eater episodes though, on the other hand, rewatching Daughter of Twenty Faces episodes not as much (there are animes that can be rewatched but there are also ones that are meant to be a one-time view).
